The next thing is whether the garage roof is made of asbestos cement sheets. If that is the case, then there is the added expense of disposing of the asbestos safely. This will generally add to the cost. Asbestos is a dangerous product and so it needs to be disposed of properly.
I also consider whether the trusses are suitable. In 9 out of 10 cases the trusses are usually fine and will not need replacing. All that needs replaced are the roof sheets and the timber facias.
The cost of a new garage roof is based simply and mathematically on these criteria. So there is no guess work. Not only have that, but we only charged you at the end of the job when you are happy. We ask for no payment up front.
