The full force of storm Hector hit Scotland on 14th June 2018 with gusts of wind reaching up to 100mph in exposed areas. Several roads and rail routes were blocked by fallen branches and worse still, a woman in Edinburgh was left hurt by a loose slate that had been blown from a tenement roof. High winds are extremely dangerous which is why it is always worth taking the time to check that your garage roof is securely fasten down and is not rattling around. If screws have come loose or are missing, the wind can get beneath loose panels and quickly rip them off turning them into lethal flying objects.

The weather has been very stormy recently in Scotland with flooding causing problems for a lot of areas. Strong winds have played havoc for some homeowners with roof tiles being blown off and fences down. Garage roofs have also been damaged by these strong winds.
